Let Freedom Sing!
This 9th Annual Let Freedom Sing! program features guest artists, music and oratory. Let Freedom Sing! brings together black communities and white communities, city neighborhoods and suburbs, and young and old participants and audience members in the spirit of Dr. King's vision of brotherhood. Through choral selections and oratory, the event demonstrates the importance of becoming actively involved in community affairs, working toward a common goal, and how local action can make a contribution for the common good. Singers from several local UU churches will be singing in the MLK Festival Choir.
Concerts will be Saturday January 16 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in the Hill District and Monday January 18 at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville. All ages. Admission free at the door, voluntary monetary donations will be accepted. Help us combat hunger! Proceeds benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and Westmoreland County Food Bank.
