General Assembly June 24-28 2020 in Providence RI

General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Attendees worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy for the Association through democratic process. Anyone may attend; congregations must certify annually to send voting delegates.
Rooted, Inspired, & Ready! is the theme for the 2020 General Assembly over June 24-28 in Providence Rhode Island. We are in touch with our theological roots, we are engaged in transforming our faith, and we are fired up to take action in the wider world.
Program highlights include the Banner Parade on Wednesday, the Service of the Living Tradition on Thursday, a Public Witness event, the Ware Lecture on Friday, and the Closing Worship on Sunday. The 2020 Ware Lecture will be delivered by Naomi Klein, climate activist, award-winning journalist, and New York Times bestselling author of On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal.
Many of the events in the main session hall - including the Ware Lecture - will be livestreamed and can be viewed online.
The General Assembly Planning Committee is committed to addressing the inclusion of all people, whatever their abilities might be, in all GA activities.
Volunteer assignments and scholarships are available to defray costs. There is also a reduced fee for offsite attendees.
Future GA sites include June 2021 in Milwaukee, WI; June 2022 in Portland, OR; and June 2023 in Pittsburgh, PA.
