Exploring Food Inequality and Insecurity as They Relate to Race (recording)
Presented by the UU’s of Greater Pittsburgh
Occurred on Saturday June 18, 2022
The pressing issue of food inequality and insecurity and how it relates to race and ethnicity is one of importance to UUs. Hunger and the ability to purchase/obtain food -- especially nutritious food -- affects many segments of our society, but especially persons of lower socioeconomic groups and persons of color. This event brought together representatives from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Jewish Family and Community Services, the Garfield Community Farm, and the South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM).
