Come to Cluster Assembly on November 7!

The 2015 Greater Pittsburgh Cluster Assembly will take place on Saturday November 7 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills in Franklin Park. This will be our 2nd annual gathering and the first since our founding in 2014. Nearly 100 UUs from all of our 11 congregations will come together to worship, sing, connect, share, listen, learn, and grow in community. The morning will include an opening worship service led by cluster clergy and music from a cluster choir, a keynote address by Rev. Vail Weller, and presentations on the 2016 General Assembly and regionalization. During the business meeting we'll elect new board members, hear financial and budget reports, and receive a report on our first year of cluster activities. A Fall menu of varied soups, sandwiches, fruit, and cookies will be served for lunch. In the afternoon we've set aside 2 hours for workshops that we hope will inform, energize, and inspire, and then our young adults will lead us in a closing worship service.

Keynote speaker Rev. Vail Weller is a North Hills native and currently serves as the Congregational Giving Director at the Unitarian Universalist Association, working to help our congregations support one another through the Annual Program Fund. Vail is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist who was raised in the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills. Locally she worked as an Administrative Assistant at the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, and served as Intern Minister at the Ohio Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation. Vail has also served as called minister for congregations in Ludington, Michigan and San Mateo, California. She was recipient of the UUA's 2010 Stewardship Sermon Award.
