2023 UUPGH Assembly -- Introduction of One of our Main Assembly Speakers

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT -- Introduction of One of our Main Assembly Speakers

Ron Smutny and the UUPittsburgh Board are delighted to announce that we will welcome Alex Kapitan of the Transforming Hearts Collective to this year's Cluster Assembly on Saturday, November 11 at the UU Church of the South Hills in Mt. Lebanon. The theme will be "Exploring Transgender Lives and Issues," and Alex is a highly regarded expert on this topic. They will address many aspects of this increasingly critical matter, and will share valuable insights and information. The day will also feature a speaker from the ACLU of Pennsylvania, a community panel, our annual business meeting, a community choir performance, and a banner parade / worship service. Plus, there will be continental breakfast and lunch!

Registration will open in mid-September. Watch here for details, and spread the word!

Below is a brief bio and photo of Alex. We can't wait to welcome them!
