Our eleven congregations have much in common but are each unique. They offer a variety of worship experiences, some have called ministers who speak most Sundays, at others you'll hear from lay speakers and community members. All are committed to justice, engaged in their communities, and are Standing on the Side of Love. All are Welcoming Congregations and all offer a friendly and supportive spiritual environment and a liberal religious home. We are:

‘Tis a gift to be simple...true enough. Unaffected by the ornamentalism that adorns most of our world, simple rests on the solid foundation of life at its most basic - clear, clean, classic. Simplicity as a gift? Absolutely. Yet sometimes the simple needs a boost, a dash of the splendid to sweeten its single flavor essentials. Here at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Smithton, we take great care to provide the basics in services and ceremonies and celebrations. Firmly rooted in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, charmingly housed in a historic church, and diligently prepared by a dedicated congregation, our offerings are simple - meaningful services, moving ceremonies, memorable celebrations. But we also strive to invest our contributions with more than the fundamentals - to enliven them with a hint of enchantment, a taste of imagination, a touch of the divine. Our services honor the sacred space within and among and beyond ourselves. Our ceremonies reenact time-honored rituals in contemporary style. Our celebrations cut loose and raise the roof. All prepared in the spirit of love. All presented in the service of others. Not just simple but splendid, too. Simply Splendid at Smithton. All you need to do is come.

Welcome to the Morgantown Unitaritian-Universalist Fellowship, the home for liberal religion in northern West Virginia. We look to each other for intellectual stimulation and emotional support through all the stages and difficulties of life.We exist to offer a warm, open, supportive community for those with open minds. Included in this is support for local charities and deserving causes. A typical service consists of music, hymns and readings, usually followed by a talk and discussion on a topic of religious, ethical, moral, or spiritual nature. At least one service a month is conducted by a UU Minister. We also celebrate seasonal festivals. We are a Welcoming Congregation and support human rights for each and every segment of society in this country and worldwide, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, color, or race.

Ohio Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation
Bellaire, Ohio | Founded: 1976 | Members: 34 | Minister: Rev. Renee Waun
The Ohio Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation began in Wheeling, WV in 1975 and moved to Belmont County in Ohio, just across the Ohio River, in 1989. We chose a geodesic dome as the design for our church because of our appreciation for our fellow Unitarian Buckminster Fuller. We have a variety of interesting Sunday morning programs provided by a part-time minister and members and friends. Our congregation has no written creed and we encourage all members to follow their own spiritual paths. Our members are involved in social action concerns that include local and international projects. We are a welcoming congregation and would like to welcome you!
